Definitely, we all use soap for bathing, washing and cleaning. Whether it be liquid, gel or a Bar soap. But how would you love knowing the ingredients there are in those soaps? Cool right? Yeah!.. Learning how to make an homemade diy bar soap really would be fun!.. Let's get messy... Lol

How To Make An Homemade Herbal Bar Soap (cold process).
Things needed ( this recipe will yield 2.5 lbs of soap or 7-8 bars of loaf mold)
1. Stainless bowl/ spoon ( please avoid aluminium or non stick containers)
2. Glass bowls
3. Immersion blender
4. Soap cutter
5. Soap molds ( lined with parchment paper)
6. Protective gear ( gloves, eyeglass)
7. A good scale
8. Distilled water (9.5 oz)
9. Coconut oil (7 oz)
10. Lye (3.5 oz)
11. Shea butter (4 oz)
12. Almond oil (3.5 oz)
13. White vinegar

Procedure
1. Put on your goggles, gloves, and mask.
2. Weigh water into stainless steel or heavy-duty plastic container.
3. Weigh lye into a small cup.
4. Slowly sprinkle lye into the water.
5. Stir well until lye completely dissolves.
6. Place lye solution in safe area and cool for 30 to 40 minutes, or until it's about 100 to 115 degrees F.
7. Melt coconut oil and shea butter over low heat, then combine with other oils.
8. Cool combined oils until they’re around 95 to 115 degrees F.
9. Pour cooled lye solution into warm oils.
0. Use combination of hand stirring and short bursts of the immersion blender to mix oils and lye solution.
1. Mix until soap reaches trace.
2. Pour soap into mold.
3. Cover soap lightly with piece of wax paper or parchment paper.
4. Cover with towel or blanket to insulate.
5. Allow to set for one to two days before removing from mold.
6. Turn out soap on a piece of wax paper.
7. Cut soap into bars.
8. Space bars out on wax paper or coated cooling rack ensuring plenty of airflow between them.
9. Rotate every few days allowing for an even cure.
0. Cure in open air for 4 to 6 weeks before use.

PLEASE NOTE
1. Always use your protective gears
2. Add lye to water gradually and not water to lye.
3. Do this in a well ventilated area.
4. Working area should be clear of pets and children.
